Parts Used:-

                    Seeds, Roots, leaves, and stems.

Properties:- 

                    It is Bitter and pungent herb in taste. It balances Kapha and Vata dosha.

Other uses:-

1:- It stimulates the circulatory and digestive system.

2:-It helps lower blood pressure

3:-Apamarga is beneficial in relieving pain

4:- for hypertension it is beneficiary

5:- In bleeding gum, it provides relief.

6:- In a low back and joint pain proves helpful

7:- As it has detoxifying properties so helpful in overrunning Kapha and Vata dosha

8:- it helps control vomiting and nausea

9:-In piles and hemorrhoids Apamarga is highly beneficial

10:-It helps to keep the bowel clean

11:- Being a diuretic properties Apamarga is an excellent herb in breakdown the urinary bladder stone.

12:- In India its seeds are boiled in milk as a tonic.

How to take Apamarga:-

1:- ¼ – ½ teaspoon of Apamarga powder can be taken once or twice a day after meals with lukewarm water or honey.

2:- can be taken as tea form, Take 1-2 teaspoon of Apamarga boil in a glass of water when half water left drink this 2-3 times a day

3:-Its fresh roots/stems can be rubbed on teeth to reduce toothache/tooth cavity/gum problem if fresh roots are not available then dried stems can be used just soak the stem in water before use then can use as a toothbrush.

4:- If a woman is not able to get pregnant due to an unexplainable reason Apamarga can be used. Take  Apamarga Panchanga (10 gm) and cook in milk (200 -300 ml). Eat this on empty stomach only during four days of periods in the morning. Do this for the next three menstrual cycles.

Take care before use:-

As Apamarga has numerous medicinal values still great care should be taken as overdose can induce vomiting and nausea, it should not be given during pregnancy, lactating period as it can cause abortion. In infertility treatment better to avoid taking this herb. It also has sperm killing properties.
